for Certified Dental Assistants
and REgistered Dental Hygienists
May 22-June 5, 2013
This advanced training program in orthodontics enables Certified Dental Assistants, regulated by The College of Dental Surgeons of B.C., to acquire licensure in expanded duties in Orthodontics. It is also an opportunity for Dental Hygienists, regulated by the College of Dental Hygienists of B.C., to obtain formal advanced education in this area.
The University of British Columbia has been offering the Orthodontic Module since 1979, and the team of instructors is very committed to making this a valuable and successful learning experience. As the clinical portion of this course can be difficult for participants, it is a pre-requisite that those attending have a minimum of ONE year of clinical experience in a dental practice. Participants are also required to have a current active licence to practice in British Columbia and should have good vision for close work (or effective corrective lens).
Response to this program has been overwhelming so we suggest that you register as soon as possible so as not to be disappointed.
