Bread and Butter Dentistry
Saturday, November 5, 2011
We will explore several basic and fundamental perspectives regarding both the dental opportunities and the psychologies of our patients. It is apparent that in all of our various experiences in dental education, we are given exceptional foundations from which to expand our thinking and grow our skills. Most dental programs do an excellent job of creating solid and in many, exceptional hand skills. However, with the rate at which our profession is changing, it is impossible to not aggressively pursue growth and knowledge if we are to stay current.
Mark Duncan, DDS, received his college ad post-graduate studies at the University of Oklahoma, culminating with a D.D.S. degree in 1995. Following Dental School, Dr. Duncan vigorously pursued continuing education to grow past what was taught in dental schools; twice being recognized as the leader in the State for Continuing Education. He completed the surgical and prosthetic sections with the Misch Implant Institute, earning Fellowship with the Institute as well as holding Diplomate status with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. He has also earned the Fellowship with the AGD in the shortest time period allowed by the Academy. will conclude his presentation by describing the most recent clinical application of the drug he developed
(SDD).
Lorne Golub, DMD, MSc, S.U.N.Y., received his D.M.D. degree (1963)

Medicine, where he has served as associate
dean for research (1992 to 2002) and interim
dean (2008 to 2009). He has been awarded more than 30 U.S. and
international patents and has published more
than 270 peer-reviewed scientific articles. Most recently, he
