Housing and Childcare

The University provides accommodation for almost 7,000 single students, student families, faculty and staff. You have several options when selecting on-campus housing at UBC. There are residences for single people, couples, families with children, and larger townhouses for sharing with other students. For more detailed information about housing options on campus, including costs and access to the on-line application service, go to the UBC Housing website or click here for a listing of telephone numbers and email addresses.

For information on on-campus accommodation not operated by UBC Housing, and information on off-campus housing, click here. Off-campus accommodation in Vancouver can be expensive and particularly difficult to get later in the summer. You should plan to arrive in Vancouver early if you need to rent off campus.

For information on the UBC Child Care Services, click here. UBC Child Care Services offer excellent facilities and space is very limited. If you think you will need child care services, you should contact them immediately to have your name placed on a wait list.
