Today, when treatment planning comprehensive dental care, a practical approach is to first meet the person, next the face, then the mouth and finally the teeth, i.e. Facially Generated Treatment Planning. Whether we are planning fixed or removable restorative or prosthodontic care, Facially Generated Treatment Planning facilitates positive patient outcomes and realistic expectations. A useful method of learning these skills is to employ removable prosthodontic strategies and techniques to conceptualize, prototype and carry out patient care. For
example, the setting-up and/or the readjusting of denture teeth can be quickly done allowing practitioners to “practice” in real time facial and intraoral esthetics, cosmetics, form and function, thereby aiding future treatment planning for either fixed or removable cases.
