Digital Dentistry – What You Need To Know About the What, How and Why

Dr. Jonathan A. Ng

Dr. Jonathan A. Ng, BMedSc, DDS, MSc, Dip. Pros., FRCD(C) is a Certified Specialist in Prosthodontics. He obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the University of Alberta and his Prosthodontic specialty at the University of British Columbia. His private practice is in Vancouver, Canada where Dr. Ng specializes in complex prosthodontic care and rehabilitation, which includes the surgical placement of implants, implant prostheses, as well as fixed and removable prostheses. Dr. Ng is also on staff as a Prosthodontist at the BC Cancer Agency treating medically complex patients. Dr. Ng works closely with the emerging technology and has written a thesis and published numerous articles on the topic of digital dentistry. As such, Dr. Ng offers a perspective of the current technology that is up-to-date and evidence based.

Dr. Chris Wyatt

Chris Wyatt, BSc, DMD, MSc, FRCD(C), Dip Pros, is a Certified Specialist in Prosthodontics and a Professor and Head of the Division of Prosthodontics and Dental Geriatrics at the University of British Columbia, Faculty of Dentistry. He has published numerous papers in the field of prosthodontics, implant dentistry, dental caries, and geriatrics. In 1998, Dr. Wyatt was the recipient of the Killam Teaching Award and is the 2009 recipient of the W.W. Wood Award for “Excellence in Dental Education.” Dr. Wyatt is past President of the Association of Prosthodontists of Canada and the BC Society of Prosthodontists, and is an active member of the Canadian Dental Association, British Columbia Dental Association, and the College of Dental Surgeons of British Columbia. In addition to lecturing and providing continuing education courses on Prosthodontics within and outside of Canada, he enjoys treating patients with prosthodontic concerns in his private practice.

Dr. Jeffrey Coil

Jeffrey M. Coil, DMD, MSD., PhD., FRCD(C), FADI, FACD, is a Certified Specialist in Endodontics, and is the Director of Graduate Endodontics, at the University of British Columbia, Faculty of Dentistry. He received his undergraduate, dental and doctorate degrees from UBC, and his Graduate Endodontic training at the University of Washington. He is an editorial consultant for the CDA Journal and on the Scientific Advisory Board for the Journal of Endodontics. He is past president of the Canadian Academy of Endodontics, and mentors the Northwest Endodontic Study Club and Seminar.
