Pre-entry Requirements

To be eligible for admission to the 3rd year of the Dental Hygiene Degree Program, applicants must:

  • Have graduated with a minimum overall average of 70% from a dental hygiene diploma/certificate program that is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation of Canada (CDAC) OR the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) of the American Dental Association.

OR

  • Be a recent graduate of an accredited dental hygiene diploma program but have not yet practiced.

OR

  • Be enrolled in your final year of another accredited dental hygiene diploma program in Canada or the USA.

AND must:

Have current registration in good standing with a regulatory authority where the applicant has practiced most recently.

AND

Hold a National Dental Hygiene Certification Exam Certificate from the National Dental Hygiene Certification Board (NDHCB) OR from the Federation of Dental Hygiene Regulators of Canada (FDHRC) OR hold an American National Board (ANB) Certificate, or submit the NDHCB/FDHRC/ANB certificate after completion of your accredited Dental Hygiene Diploma program in Canada or the USA, before program start date.
