The annual Pacific Dental Conference starts March 6 and runs until March 8 at the Vancouver Convention and Exhibit Centre. This year is UBC Dentistry’s 50th anniversary and the PDC is joining in the celebrations.

Alumni Lounge on the Exhibit Floor
Be sure to stop by the Alumni Lounge on the Exhibit Floor (booth 147) near lounge 2 (floorplan) from Thursday, March 6 to Friday, March 7 between 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. where you can:
- Bring a friend and take a commemorative picture in our free photo booth
- Enter ‘Name that Face’ contest hosted by our Alumni Partners and win a fabulous gift basket
- Purchase Early Bird tickets at a special price for The Bash!
- Enter you chance to chop off the Dean’s pony tail in the Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow contest
- Enter the Alumni Getaway Contest for a weekend trip for two to Las Vegas at the Bellagio Hotel and see the musical “Jersey Boys”! Sponsored by Nadean Burkett & Associates Inc.
UBC Dentistry Annual Alumni Reception
Catch up with friends, collegues and classmates at the annual reception on Friday evening, March 7, from 6 to 8 p.m. taking place in the West Ballroom Foyer of the Vancouver Convention and Exhibit Centre. Along with nibbles and sips, many activities and connections are taking place:

UBC Speaker Series
To celebrate 50 years of Dentistry at UBC the PDC is presenting the UBC Speaker Series as part of its scientific program. Sessions are presented by notable UBC alumni and faculty: Martin Aidelbaum, Fernanda Almeida, Tobin Bellamy, Caroline Cesar, Brian Chanpong, Jason Chen, Wilson J. Kwong, Sonia Leziy, Robert Marciniak, Brahm Miller, Samson Ng, Mark Olesen, Mark Parhar, Warren Roberts, Charles Shuler, Sharma K. Sinanan, David Sweet OC, Henry Tom, Glenn van As, and Michele Williams. 14th Annual Toothfairy Gala and BC Dental Association Awards
