The UBC Dentistry leadership team is proud to announce a transformative $7.2 million CAD gift from Planmeca, marking the largest corporate donation in the Faculty’s history to date.

This monumental contribution will further enhance clinical education and patient care through the continued integration of Planmeca’s customized Romexis® software within the UBC dental clinic. Romexis supports a comprehensive range of 2D and 3D imaging and CAD/CAM capabilities, central to the clinical training of future oral health professionals.

Founded in Helsinki, Finland in 1971, by Mr. Heikki Kyöstilä, Planmeca is a global leader in healthcare technology and the largest privately held dental equipment company in the world. Their relationship with UBC Dentistry spans over two decades, including support for the creation of the UBC Nobel Biocare Oral Health Centre in 2003 and the 123Dentist Simulation Laboratory in 2022.
