Dr. Shimae Soheilipour and Dr. Abiola Adeniyi have been selected for the first cohort of the new UBC Health Interprofessional Education (IPE) Scholars Program. Their proposed project will focus on integrating oral health competencies into non-dental health professions.

The IPE Scholars Program supports faculty members in developing and disseminating their IPE scholarship. It provides a network of scholars to share their ideas and inform a broader research agenda for innovative, interprofessional activities that contribute to advancing health professional education. The program fosters faculty from various fields, such as dentistry, dietetics, genetics, physical therapy, and social work, showcasing diverse opportunities for IPE advancement.
