UBC Dentistry Provides Dental Care to Vulnerable Women and Children
UBC Dentistry students are making an impact in the community by providing dental care to vulnerable women and children in the new Elizabeth Fry Health Centre. Students receive educational instruction from faculty and provide restorative, preventative and emergency oral health services.
On Sept. 3, the Dental Hygiene Degree Program (DHDP) welcomed 26 new entry-to-practice students and 33 students entering the degree-completion program.
On August 28, UBC Faculty of Dentistry welcomed 64 new Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) students as they journey to become BC’s next generation of oral health care professionals.

The S. Wah Leung Endowment Fund honours Dr. Leung’s lifelong commitment to excellence in teaching, research and patient care in the oral health sciences.
On July 1, UBC Dentistry welcomes Randa Soussou, MSc Dip Pediatric Dentistry 2018, as Assistant Professor in the Department of Oral Health Sciences. Dr. Soussou also holds the Professorship in Pediatric Dentistry.
