A message from Dr. Andrea Esteves

Welcome to the 2023-24 academic year!

Hello everyone and welcome to the new academic year. I want to extend a warm welcome back to all our returning students, staff and faculty and offer a special welcome to all the new faces beginning their journey with UBC Dentistry.

For those whom I haven’t met, my name is Andrea Esteves, and since 2011 I have proudly served as the Associate Dean of Clinical Affairs with the Faculty of Dentistry.

As we continue our search for the next Dean, I am honoured to be serving as Dean pro tem for the next year. It is first and foremost the people who provide our framework, and I look forward to working together to lead this impressive and innovative Faculty that I’ve called home for 32 years.

As learners, educators, researchers and staff, you are uniquely positioned to have a positive impact not only on the greater community but beyond BC.

Thank you for choosing UBC and the Faculty of Dentistry to share your expertise, pursue your dreams and make a difference in the world. I can’t wait to see what we will accomplish together in the next year!

Dr. Andrea Esteves
