On June 30, the Faculty of Dentistry is saying farewell to Dr. Michael Flunkert, a passionate and skilled educator who has been teaching with the Faculty since 2018.
2024 Healthcare Travelling Roadshow
This spring, Maranda Mazoka, BDSc 2024, joined the Peace Roadshow and visited the cities of Fort Nelson, Chetwynd, and Mackenzie, where she had the opportunity to present the dental hygiene profession to high school students.
Extension of Dr. Andrea Esteves as Dean pro tem, Faculty of Dentistry
Dr. Esteves has served as Dean pro tem since August 28, 2023. This extension of appointment is for the period August 28, 2024, until the earlier of August 27, 2025, or the appointment of the new Dean.
Overall Lab Receives $5.4 Million in Funding
Drs. Leonard Foster, Honglin Luo, Chris Overall, Arinjay Banerjee, Gabriela Cohen Freue, B. Brett Finlay, Michael Gold, Eric Jan, Sheila Teves, and Stuart Turvey received a grant from the Canadian Foundation for Innovation and BC Knowledge Development Fund, totalling $5.4 million, for their project titled “Transformative and disruptive systems immunology.”
