Dr. Mary MacDougall

The American Association for Dental Research (AADR) bestowed Dr. Mary MacDougall with its inaugural Presidential Citation. This new award acknowledges AADR members who have made significant contributions to the association and who have helped to further the organization’s mission of advancing research and knowledge for the improvement of oral health. She was one of three recipients this year.

Dr. MacDougall is Dean of the UBC Faculty of Dentistry. She is a Professor in the Department of Oral Biological & Medical Sciences and her research areas are molecular mechanisms associated with epithelial mesenchymal interactions, identification of critical signaling pathways, matrix formation and biomineralization.
