Dr. Adriana Manso
Congratulations to Dr. Adriana Manso once again! She has received $100,000 in funding from UBC as part of the 2022/23 Grants for Catalyzing Research Clusters (GCRC) competition. We believe this is the first UBC Research cluster funded from the Faculty of Dentistry.
The GCRC competition was jointly created by the Offices of the Vice-President, Research & Innovation and the Provost & Vice-President, Academic, UBC Vancouver to enable the formation and growth of interdisciplinary research excellence clusters.
Dr. Manso’s “Advancing Multifunctional Dental Biomaterials” Research Cluster has a goal to develop and advance multifunctional antimicrobial dental materials tailored to selectively manage oral pathogens associated with common and highly prevalent diseases. The multidisciplinary team includes experts in Engineering, Chemistry, Microbiology, and Dental Materials Sciences situated in Canada and the United States.
