Dr. David Sweet, O.C. talks to the CBC about forensic science

September 26, 2012 – The Early Edition host Rick Cluff from the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) Vancouver talks to Dr. David Sweet, O.C. about trace DNA evidence and how it played a role in the recent breakthrough in solving a murder case that occured almost forty years ago in northern British Columbia.

Dr. David Sweet, O.C. is associate dean of Students UBC Dentistry and director of the Bureau of Legal Dentistry (BOLD) lab, a forensic odontology laboratory at the University of British Columbia. He is an expert in forensic DNA from teeth, bones and saliva; human bite-mark forensic evidence and the use of dental characteristics in human identification.
