On July 1, the UBC Faculty of Dentistry welcomes Randa Soussou, MSc Dip Pediatric Dentistry 2018, as Assistant Professor in the Department of Oral Health Sciences. Dr. Soussou also holds the Professorship in Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr. Soussou worked with children for 11 years in a dental centre in Amman, Jordan, before moving to Vancouver with her family in 2012. She returned to school to pursue specialty training in pediatric dentistry at UBC, where she also obtained her Master’s in Craniofacial Science. Her research focused on helping caregivers understand the importance of oral health care for children.

Since 2018, Dr. Soussou has been a UBC associate clinical professor and pediatric dentist at BC Children’s Hospital, as well as an associate pediatric dentist with Little Smiles Dental Centre.
