The Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg, Germany, conferred an honorary professorship on Dr. Christopher Overall, UBC Dentistry professor and Canada Research Chair in Metalloproteinase Proteomics and Systems Biology. This represents European Union recognition of the fundamental advances Overall has made in proteomics and protease systems biology. It also acknowledges Overall’s facilitation of research collaborations and personnel exchanges with the university, which is located in Freiburg im Breisgau, Baden-Württemberg.
