Associate Professor Emeritus Dr. Timothy Gould passed away on October 30, 2023.
Dr. Gould’s legacy of dedication and excellence began with a BDS degree in England. It expanded to Canada, where he earned a Diploma in Periodontics and a PhD in Oral Biology. In 1979, Dr. Gould joined UBC Dentistry as an associate professor of periodontics and later director of the postgraduate program in periodontics. He was a revered periodontics instructor and a prolific contributor to academic literature with over 30 publications. He also ran two successful practices for over 30 years.
Upon retirement from clinical practice, Dr. Gould joined the British Columbia Dental Association as a co-director of member services in 2013. In that role, he was able to use his four decades of experience to advise and serve his colleagues in the profession.
