Karen Campbell, DDS, MSc, FRCDC, has been appointed to the endowed professorship position, Professorship in Dentistry. This endowed professorship is jointly held between UBC and BC Children’s Hospital and is funded by donors to support pediatric dentistry at both institutions.
Dr. Campbell is director of both the Department of Dentistry at BCCH and the Graduate Program in Pediatric Dentistry at UBC Dentistry.
Holding this endowed professorship recognizes the importance of Dr. Campbell’s role in the oral health care of children and the education of pediatric dentists for the province.

Zul Kanji, BSc, Dip DH, MSc, EdD (candidate), has appointed director of the Dental Hygiene Degree Program (DHDP).
He began teaching at UBC in 2009, and in 2011 he was appointed a full-time faculty member. Since then he has been the DHDP clinic coordinator, the years 1 and 2 coordinator, and acting director of the program from 2012 to 2013. Kanji’s appointment as director of the dental hygiene program is also paralleled with a tenure-track position in the stream of Professor of Teaching/Educational Leadership.

Chris Wyatt, BSc, DMD, MSc, Dip Pros, FRCD(C), has been appointed Seniors Foundation Professor in Geriatric and Outreach Dentistry. Dr. Wyatt is head of the Division of Prosthodontics and Dental Geriatrics in the Department of Oral Health Sciences at UBC Dentistry. Holding this endowed professorship recognizes the importance and depth of Dr. Wyatt’s role in the promotion of oral health for senior citizens in the UBC Geriatric Dentistry Program.
