Zul Kanji ‘the one to watch’—VCC’s 2013 Outstanding Alumni Award winner

Zul Kanji, UBC clinical assistant professor and acting director of the Dental Hygiene Degree Program, won an Outstanding Alumni Award from Vancouver Community College (VCC).

Prof. Kanji is a past graduated of Vancouver Community College where he recieved a diploma in Dental Hygiene.

Prior to teaching full-time at UBC, Kanji taught at VCC and also undertook graduate work in the UBC Faculty of Dentistry where he received a Master of Science in Dental Hygiene.

Along with his duties as acting director for UBC’s Dental Hygiene Degree Program, he is also the program’s years 1 & 2 coordinator.

Currently he is undertaking a doctorate degree in Education at Simon Fraser University with a focus on post-secondary policy and pedagogy.

VCC has lauded the professor and researcher as “one to watch” who has published a sustantial body of work in the field.
