Associate Professor, UBC Dentistry; Acting Director, British Columbia Oral Cancer Prevention Program
Denise Laronde’s areas of interest are oral cancer screening (including developing and validating tools to enhance screening, community awareness, and access to care), risk prediction, oral premalignant progression, second oral malignancies, and oral cancer survivorship.

Doctoral Candidate in Craniofacial Science, UBC Dentistry; Member, British Columbia Oral Cancer Prevention Program
Leigha Rock’s research focuses on the molecular analysis and examination of the clinical behaviour of oral premalignant lesions over time in order to further develop a risk model to predict the malignant transformation of low-grade oral premalignant lesions.
