Supplemental Application

At the University of British Columbia, competition for a limited number of places is extremely keen in most programs. In the Faculty of Dentistry, academic performance is an important criterion for admission, but we recognize that activities and experiences, including work experience, that demonstrate technical ability, commitment, and personal development are also indicators of the likelihood of success in dental hygiene.

Instructions to the Applicant

1. You must also complete a UBC Undergraduate Admission Application form. Application for admission to UBC can be done online here. Applications to UBC must be received no later than January 15, 2024. The supplemental application is to be used in conjunction with the application for admission to the fist year of the Dental Hygiene – Entry-to-Practice option.
2. The Dental Hygiene Entry-to-Practice (BDSc 4-year degree program) Supplemental Application and application fee must be submitted no later than February 5, 2024. This application and application fee is in addition to the UBC application and application fee submitted to UBC Enrollment Services – Undergraduate Admissions. The supplemental application fee is non-refundable and the supplemental application is non-transferable to other programs.
3. An Open House and interviews will be held at the UBC Vancouver Campus. Details will be announced closer to the Open House date. Attendance is mandatory.
4. Applications and supporting documents not received by the specified deadline will not be considered.

You will receive an acknowledgement letter from the Undergraduate Admission Office confirming receipt of your UBC application and listing any documents needed to complete it. If you are new to UBC, this message will also include your UBC reference number, which may be used to check your application status on the Student Service Centre.
