Emergency Bursary Funding

Bursaries are administered through Enrolment Services.

Visit the Enrolment Services bursary website for more information and to apply, or contact your Enrolment Services Advisor. (DMD and Grad Students can find an advisor by emailing es.medsupport@ubc.ca; Dental Hygiene students can look at the SISC for their assigned Enrolment Services Advisor).

Emergency funding also includes the Sweet Student Emergency Bursary Fund, established by our dental community, to assist UBC Dentistry students facing personal challenges such as medical issues, illnesses, or family tragedies and who are in need of financial assistance. Emergency funding is to help cover a temporary shortfall due to an unexpected situation when all other financial options have been exhausted; emergency funding is accessible to all students who meet the emergency bursary eligibility requirements.

To apply for the Sweet Student Emergency Bursary Fund, please contact Zul Kanji, Director of Student Affairs, at zulkanji@dentistry.ubc.ca
